If your completely repiping both pipes and valves, then I usually just measure from the bottom of rad to top of brackets on the radiator (say that’s 21inches) and then measure that size from skirting board up. That will be where top of the bracket will go. So the idea is the rad will be flush...
as post above says you can buy extensions tails to make up the size or better still, lift a few floorboards and move pipes 40mm, hopefully some play in them especially if its 10mm pipe....myson have imperial size radiators, but some can be triple the price of a standard size for the sake of...
remove lid off the cistern and my guess would be the siphon should be the twist and click style, you will find the rubber washer at the bottom of the siphon will be starting to perish and allowing a small trickle of water into the bowl, taking dirty cistern water with it, screws bolts etc that...
Has he tried/ checked the expansion vessel?? That’d be the first thing to check...drain, pump up to 1bar, repressurise boiler then bleed all rads. Easy job for a heating engineer
If your running hot water and it’s still doing the noise then it’s nothing to do with trvs. Get your plumber/gas safe engineer out to check Venturi and gas pressures
Get a gas safe engineer to check/clean Venturi. Could also be a possible gas valve issue. Ideal logic gas valves cant be adjusted, it would need to be replaced?
Do you get it serviced annually.
