Loft Legs - Are cross beams needed to support the 600mm edge ?

So the 9 loft boards make up a 7.2m x 1.8m rectangle. There are loft legs every 600mm in all directions. Turns out they did put a timber support along both 1.8m ends as there are no legs on these edges. No other timber support was added. Everything else is secured only into the loft legs. I...

Loft Legs - Are cross beams needed to support the 600mm edge ?

To clarify, not even in the middle of the boards where one 600mm edge joins in with another 600mm edge ?

Loft Legs - Are cross beams needed to support the 600mm edge ?

A very reputable and highly recommended loft company have floored my loft. Existing joists are 600mm centres. Standard height plastic loft legs have been used. A 3x3 grid of 2400x600x18 mm T&G loft boards have been laid on top of the loft legs. The installer has not put any timber cross beams...

Manufacturer says 15A fuse needed for 2.79kW oven

Earlier recommendations suggested as the oven can draw just over 12 amps, having a good quality plug that can handle heat over a longer period of time would be better than a bog standard plug.

That’s out of stock. Amazon have this… Permaplug HDPT13B ChatGPT suggests it’s comparable to MK Toughplug. Any thoughts ?

Manufacturer says 15A fuse needed for 2.79kW oven

Hi again…Evri have played a blinder and lost my MK Toughplug package. Are there are any other heavy duty alternatives you would recommend. Anything that’s on the high street such as Screwfix or Toolstation then even better. Thanks.

Manufacturer says 15A fuse needed for 2.79kW oven

Would it make any material difference if, instead of putting a 13A plug on them and plugging them into a standard socket, I connected them to a 13A FCU which was in itself, also on the kitchen ring main ? Other things of note on that circuit would be kettle, toaster, microwave and air fryer but...

Manufacturer says 15A fuse needed for 2.79kW oven

Thanks for everyone’s help, it’s been much appreciated. So my final setup is….. I have 2 of these AEG single ovens with each rated at 2.79 kW. For each oven, I’ll use 1m length of that recommended 3 core cable and then I’ll connect a 13A MK toughplug to the other end. Each oven will be...

There’s a CEF branch 5 mins drive away and they sell this by the metre which is very handy.

In fact, when I feed the wire through the hole on the black cover, it will come out directly at the raised bit of metal. Should I then just wrap it round to the left so it creates almost a full circle ?

Thanks but still not following exactly ? So just wrap it half way around from bottom to top ?

Manufacturer says 15A fuse needed for 2.79kW oven

As per below, manual seems to suggest a 1.5mm cable. This surprised me somewhat as I thought 1.5mm was for lighting circuits. So is just a standard 1.5mm T+E cable ? Does it need to be any particular type/standard ? Any recommendations of brands if I was buying from Screwfix ?

Got it open and nothing broke thankfully. Below is what’s now in front of me so I now know which terminal is for what wire.

Put screwdriver in which holes ?? There are quite a few. Is it hinges on right hand side ?
