SORRY the dimmer is by GET PLC (schneider) i have wired it as two way but it just keeps dimming up and down. i have not tried the first way as is the three core the live feed from the downstairs switch?

As you look at the original switch picture bottom left L2 Red(2 core), Blue(3 core) bottom left L3 Black(2 core), Yellow(3 core) top left L1 Red(3 core) bottom right L1 Red(2 core) top right L2 Black(2 core) top right L3 nothing hope this helps
