Thanks for that @denso13 I only hoisted up the hose because of the advice so far. It's interesting to note that in AEGs manual I posted, they have the hose running along the ground and then up. I'll look into doing what you say but it will necessitate me creating a hole through the kitchen top...
@denso13 Won't that mean that there's very little difference/change with the washing machine's (red in my diagram) hose? As in the flow of the sink drain water will still be drawn down the hoses very easily? And the washing machine hose already raises up immediately.
Thanks for the info @Harry Bloomfield I didn't see it earlier, no new post email prompt from the forum. :( I will hoist the dishwasher pipe up as you say.
I thought I'd update as we've since experienced the drain water coming through again! Only once, but it's enough to make me wary something...
I've hoisted the hose up and along as suggested and fingers crossed it seems to have fixed it! Thanks so much everyone. Should the dishwasher drain hose be arranged in a similar fashion? At the moment it's simply coming out the bottom of the dishwasher along the ground and up into the top sink...
Thanks @foxhole So I should swap the dishwasher and washing machine drain hoses around then on the spigot? To better create your diagram? So the washing machine drain tube on the top sink spigot?
If so will doing this simply shift the problem to the dishwasher? So that the sink drain water will...
@Harry Bloomfield Thanks for the reply. Here's a photo of the appliances setup. Allowing for perspective I feel the top of the curve of the drain hose coming from the washing machine is slightly above where the end of it is inserted into the spigot?
Well I got a hose extension and the washing machine is still filling up with drain water from the sink..
@foxhole Could you explain a little more what you mean? Apologies I'm very unknowledgeable with all this. Do you mean the end of the washing machine's drain hose needs to be connected to the...
@denso13 @Harry Bloomfield Thanks guys, it sounds like I'm on the right track then! I'm hoping the water inlet tube reaches too otherwise that will have to be extended too! Is that ok todo on water inlet tubes as well?
I've removed the hose clips btw. They had to be removed so that the transit bolts could be taken out.
Here's an awkward photo of the back. You can see how the drain tube has to be help up vertically from the bottom. And therefore how much extra tube length I'm missing out on.
Is any of this...
@denso13 Thanks for the reply. The red arrow is the washing machine's drain pipe. The green arrow is the dishwasher drain pipe. The blue connector is the water outlet tube into the washing machine. The red connector is the water outlet one into the dishwasher. Everything seems sealed correctly...
Connected up our new AEG 6000 washing machine and before I'd turned it on noticed that the drum was filling up with sink drain water.. Everything was connected up but then realised that I'd taken the drain tube off its last rear clip to enable the tube to reach the drain spigot. This apparently...
Really surprised I've not received any replies to this. :( Unsurprisingly I've not had much luck finding a suitable solution. Every time I search for this type of thing I just get woodworm treatment for property's, homes etc. What I want is just treatment for some furniture. Thought I'd just...
I have a teak veneered dresser and some dining chairs (plywood seats and backs) which have been attacked by woodworm due to poor storage conditions. I'm moving broad and they have sentimental value so I'd like to take them with me. I don't have the time/space/experience to treat them myself...
@YorkshireMidge Thanks for that. If I was to replace the whole thing would the union I've indicated in the photo require anything to provide a water tight seal? One of the main reasons I thought this would be an easy job is that the washer is already attached with the inner method. The way...
