Hi
I am replacing a concrete lintel above a garage door on a 9" wall. It was shuttered and poured in situ, and therefore the concrete is stuck to the headers on the outer skin, holding the bricks in place. now when i take the concrete out i will also have to remove the headers. i cannot put...
Thanks for your responses. Already had the rubber roof lining put on. that would be the very last resort. The water flow is not a problem, it just now goes down the front. My concern is trying to get my ridge back on.
A dry ridge would allow the water to pass underneath, but it is attaching...
I recently had a rubber roof installed on a dormer I had built. I do not want to go into the drama that has been our loft conversion, but could do with some help on where to go next. The problem I am having is that the dormer falls back to the ridge.

Hi
I have put in for planning permission for a loft conversion which needs the ridge line raising and having about a 4.5m x 203mm rsj installing there. Any ideas as to how the hell we can get it up there without using a crane (which isnt really an option due to location) would be gratefully...

Hi all,
my shower will not turn off on the unit and i can only switch off at the mains pullcord. i have been advised that it is the solenoid valve but dolphin is no longer trading or the part is obsolete. Can anyone help me out with this?
Cheers peaps, i'd love to take you up on your offer, but do need to get cracking! so sooner rather than later
thats what puts me off getting someone round to quote as i always think they are just after the work. and i'm never certain they know what they are doing so to just get some advice...
and am i right in thinking that the painted render which has been put on the outside brickwork half way up the wall is more likely to keep the damp in than moisture out?
If this is the case would it then be pointless using lime without first taking the render off as the wall will not be...
