The bucket is definately higher than the water level although the majority of the hose is probably below until it reaches the bucket then it kind of goes up and over into it. When it is plumbed in normally it may be a little steeper....... do you think it may be the pump not pumping hard enough !?

Would it drain into a bucket if the pump wasn't running or if there was a problem with the hose ??? The filter is definately clear
