Ecotec Boiler is tripping the electrics

Oh its not like that. I only need to know which part to buy. A qualified engineer will be hired to open the case seal and do the repair, of course.

Ecotec Boiler is tripping the electrics

Rather avoid keep changing parts but I don't know how the engineer would determine what the faulty part is.. any ideas? Maybe if it's the pump or the air vent behind the pump leaking, causing the thing to trip

Ecotec Boiler is tripping the electrics

I mentioned in the first post that I think heat exchanger is faulty because of fluctuating temps. When turning on a hot water tap it goes hot and cold a few times around, until it finally settles on hot after about 15 seconds. And prior to the electrics tripping, i needed to pressurise boiler to...

Ecotec Boiler is tripping the electrics

Thanks for the link. I was just about to book, it seemed a fair price to get the complete repair done but then I noticed that it says "all parts are included except the heat exchanger and the expansion vessel." Those are the two parts which I'm pretty sure need attention or replacing. So that...

Ecotec Boiler is tripping the electrics

I'll probably have to get it repaired I know you're right. Just been browsing different companies around West London to call. Thanks for the info. I gave it another try and noticed the following * boiler turns on and the digital display is visible, * then the diverter valve does the initial...

Cant heat up water in my flat?

Sounds like a loose connection in the timer if it turns off or on when you wiggle the wires. Depends on how the wires are connected inside the timer whether it'll be a straightforward or difficult thing to fix. May or may not require soldering skills. Might just be that the wires are held into...

Ecotec Boiler is tripping the electrics

Ok thanks for the info. I was reluctantly considering an engineer for this particular issue because of the electrical safety aspect too. But was hoping that maybe it was something I could fix myself for the cost savings. Just wondering.. Do you think by not changing the heat exchanger it's...

Ecotec Boiler is tripping the electrics

Hi, I have Vaillant Ecotec 831 plus. When I turn the boiler on, within 10 seconds the fuse box gets tripped and the electricity turns off downstairs. I've previously fixed the diverter valve twice, 8 months ago and 3 years ago. Saw F75 error yesterday and assumed valve might have broken again...

    Privacy plants

There are a few ways it could be done. Check youtube for Bamboo Propagation videos to get a clear picture of what to do.. it's pretty easy though, basically cutting the branches in the right places, you basically end up with what are mini bamboo plants which you rub with rooting powder and put...

    Privacy plants

You can take cuttings but if you plant it straight into the ground, you could have bamboo growing all over the gardens, unless you dig up the area and put a rhizome barrier under the soil so the bamboo roots can only spread that far. alternatively you can get some large pots and plant the...

    Mystery Kitchen Sink Blockage?

I think you can ignore this one. Just gave it another go with the plunger and whatever was in there seemed to finally have shifted. It's draining out normally now. Mystery solved I hope.

    Mystery Kitchen Sink Blockage?

I've got a blocked kitchen sink. So far I've tried: * caustic soda * baking soda and vinegar * boiling water * removing each pipe section and cleaning the pipes. There were to be two sections which were noticeably clogged. After I did all this and put the pipes back together, the blockage...

Best way to soundproof a door on the cheap? Expanding Foam?

Probably end up getting one later 44mm FD30, move the existing 35mm doorstops 9mm forward. Trying to soundproof current door as an experiment. If it works it stays, if it doesn't work it gets replaced, as previously said a few times.
