Surely the pump should take away any moisture though. Any ideas who I speak to about leaks?? Local water authority?

I have a problem with a damp cellar in a property i rent out. It has previously filled with water up to 6 - 12 inches so to combat that I had a sump and pump fitted. My tennants that are currently moving out have complained that it's still damp although they have left a load of stuff down there...

I'm preparing some plasterboard walls for painting. I have tried sanding the walls down but there are still patches where paint has come off and are uneven. Is there a good undercoat to use that will cover these imperfections?

I reckon it could be a faulty valve as the pipe work does get hot when the other rads were turned off. Not sure how to replace it without draining the whole system though
