Yesterday I was fitting some eaves protector to a small section of roof where I recently noticed water was pooling and leaked into the home when it was heavy. This part of the job was fairly straightforward but I noticed on of the end tiles the “sheet” that holds the mortar was loose and broken...
Hi
I have lived in my home for well over ten years now and it has always frustrated me as to what this pipe work under the stairs was all about due to the fact it looks to be a right mess. I am wondering if anyone can shed an light onto what the various components might be doing.
I know the...
Dear All
I know you are able to buy the replacement rubber seals for the side that is removeable but is there any way to replace/repair the rubber seals that are attached to the plastic window frame itself; on mine this is on the outside?
Thanks
Sorry guys I am not home at the moment to take a picture but the cores are similar to this:

That is correct Iggifer - spot on. But whereas in your image the cables have a single core my have multiple core so am unable to really get more than say ring in & ring out within the connectors. Make sense?
Thanks for the links guys. The issue is that the three different cables have so many cores that it is diffcult to fit them all into the connector blocks & I assume it is not good practice to remove some of the ends of individual cores to free space???
Hi Guys
I have a cable run directly from my CU to my garage attached to my home. I want to utilise this feed approx half way along and spur off it but this then gives me the feed, the existing continuation and then the new extension I want to add. Thus far I cannot seem to find a junction box...
Hi All
I want to install a junction box that is capable of connecting three 32-amp mains cabled but everyone I have tried so far just doesn't have the capacity due to the thickness of the cables; the terminal connectors are too small.
Is there any recommendations for doing this?
Thanks
Graham
Dear All
The bearings on my Hotpoint WMD962 washer sound like they are on the way out. I was wondering if it is worth the effort doing the job or paying for a repair? Looking online you cannot buy just the bearings & have to replace the whole drum unit which looks like a big job and the part...
Dear All
Just to jump in mid conversation; I swapped the Screwfix unit out for a single output 12v jobby and full brightness has returned.
Bye for now.
