    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

Hi Just pumps, Salamander do not recommend NRV to stop the hunting. It may reduce the hunting, but SOP to do isolation test etc. So, to me, it looks like the best thing to do (rather than replumb from pump to shower head) is to turn the pump off after use, and turn on for use. Not great, but...

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

UPDATE: I have given up for the moment trying to find out why the previous pumps failed... BUT THE HUNTING IS BACK. After use, it hunts over the next hour or so every 5-10 minutes, then hunts maybe 4 times over the next 24 hours. As I cant access them, I assume its a problem, possibly air, in...

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

Hi Lower, no, it is just a single feed to the tank, no extra tees. The only tee is for the wot water, with a vertical pipe sticking up about 2' with a ?stuck? valve which looks like it used to leak. Presumably for bleeding this - but nothing to do with shower piping?

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

Hi Lower, the cold water feed is direct from the cold water tank, the hot feed is direct from the hot water tank; yes its a twin ct60BU. The cold water tank is very large, bigger than the minimum spec. What would cause the issues please?

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

Thanks Salamander Pumps, appreciated. The hunting doesnt happen any more, thanks - and I suspect that there was a small pocket(s) of air between the pump and the shower head, which gets cleared with use. The main issue with the pumps has been the non-universal ones needing the shower head put on...

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

The wall to the left with the towel rail is the one between the bathroom and the airing cupboard. I dont know where the pipes go which go into the wall from the airing cupboard, and the pipe tracker cant find them due to all the other stuff there. My concern is that the previous shower, before...

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

The pump has now be used 5-6 times, and has stopped hunting - like last time. However, I still dont know the last pump failed after 5 months and the previous ones needed the shower head put on the floor after a couple of years? Any ideas please? Just Pumps? dilalio?

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

Thanks just pumps - as far as I can see there is no leaks, but I cant check that the hot inlet from the tank has an essex flange as the whole thing is covered with a brown rock hard compound; would that be a problem with air in the pipes? I assumed hunting was air between pump and shower, and...

    Shower Pumps Keep Failing

Thanks dialio - that makes sense for the hunting (which is lessening at the momnent). But, would this prevent the other main problem of the pump not coming on when the shower is turned on which happened on the first two pumps, and the last pump jamming? Would you say the last pump was faulty maybe?
