    Restricted access to AAV

The manhole is clear mate, I've had a CCTV drainage survey done and there are no blockages anywhere, no leaks, cracks etc. I think maybe the shower trap hasn't been installed correctly? Is too close to the wc maybe? Next job is to fit an in line (self closing air) trap to the shower to...

    Restricted access to AAV

Because every time I flush the wc, the shower trap bubbles away and then we get foul smells in the bathroom. I figured that the vent was not letting air in, so the the vacuum pressure was sucking out the trap instead. I was wrong though, as I have removed the vent now so the svp is open...

    Smells in downstairs Wc

Right guys, I have finally figured out where the smell is coming from....thank god.....it is from the waste pipe to the basin. The waste pipe is 35mm thick, it is connected to the basin trap, and then drops through a concrete floor into a vertical drain (looks to be 110mm thick). There is...

    Smells in downstairs Wc

The soil pipe is completely concealed through the house, it's behind a kitchen cupboard and is boxed in by plasterboard even if I remove the cupboard. I have taken off the plinth to the kitchen units but it is even plasterboard boxed down to the floor. Upstairs the pipe is fully concealed by...
