    Texecom Connect messages

Thank you. I think my next step is to trigger the alarm in full set mode and see if that sends a cloud message. That would be really all I need.

    Texecom Connect messages

Thank you. I presume this needs engineer access.

    Texecom Connect messages

Yes it was only part armed at the time it was triggered.

    Texecom Connect messages

I have accessed the log remotely with the app. It said that the PIR was activated, then I reset it one minute later and the alarm was aborted. Could the very quick cancellation have prevented the cloud alarm?

    Texecom Connect messages

It was an inadvertent triggering of a PIR in the night. Pretty sure the outside alarm sounded as well as the internal. But nothing via the cloud. This happened a couple of weeks ago but I remembered it when setting it to go away. I'm away at the moment so can't check the log. Can I check the...

    Texecom Connect messages

Texecom Connect was set up by the installer, and I get a message every time the alarm is set and unset. So far so good. But I don't get a message if the alarm goes off, which would be very useful.(y) Is there a way I can set this, or will I have to get the installer to do it? I do have the...

    Adjusting door height

I've given each hinge one full turn, and that seems to have been enough to lift the door off the step. As you said, the hinges have already been offset quite a bit, which is odd because there is no sign of any movement in the frame or wall that would have needed so much adjustment. Also the...

    Adjusting door height

That's great thank you. I didn't notice a grub screw but will have a closer look tonight. Just to confirm, turning anti clockwise is looking up at the screw from underneath?

    Virgin Media, driveway dig up.

VM use contractors who shove in the cable in the quickest possible way and then speed off to the next job. They won't discuss it with you unless you happen to be there on the day.

    Adjusting door height

I've seen some other questions on this but they don't seem to be quite the same as mine. My door is binding slightly on the step and I need to raise it a little within the frame. There are three hinges, picture below. Obviously I need to adjust them all equally, and very carefully to keep them...

    Landline Query

You can try, but after so long it may not still be available. What you definitely won't get is your old copper landline connection reactivated, as they are a;; being discontinued A new landline will use VOIP over your broadband. First step is to ask your broadband provider if they can get the...

3/4 lens wifi camera without subscription

You are asking for a lot, but paying little. Cameras like this work through an app that connects you with the server in China. The subscription pays for the camera, that's why it is so cheap to buy. Also bear in mind that everything the camera sees, and everything the app sees on your...

    Hammering - best solution

We've been getting hammering in the main water feed to the storage tank in the loft. It happens when the tank refills afer a lot of water has been run, usually for a bath. I checked the tank and found the valve was very corroded, so I replaced the valve and float. This didn't stop the...

    Immersion Heater Thermostat

I don't know how accurate my measurement was with a thermometer held against the pipe, but I do know the family have complained that the tap water is too hot. Since this thermostat is not up the the latest safety standard, I'll be replacing it anyway. Thanks everyone for your advice.
