Hi
We're replacing our old gravity system with a WB combi, and looking for an RF programmable thermostat to manage one of our two heating zones (I already wired one in for the other zone) and there's a Salus ST620WBC available locally for not much money.
Now I understand that the WBC receiver...
Thanks for the post, but I'm gonna take a punt and guess that that's way more money than I'm able to spend: I could get a chrome+black replacement set of knobs for the 400 for about 40 quid, which would be the least-effort way to achieve something more pleasant than the aberration that's there...
Hi
Nasty old plastic-fronted off-cream (they call it white, and it might well have been 30 years ago) Aquavalve 400 concealed mixer unit in the bathroom, been there for decades I expect. I broke the temperature knob, and rather than just replace the knob the Mrs said "can't you replace it with...
Hi
Edit: I've realised the search terms I was using were incorrect. "RF room stat" seems to have turned up a bunch of options, including stats with multiple receivers.
I can't seem to find the option to delete the thread, so feel free to poke fun at me for being an idiot :)

We have...
Finally had the time (easter long weekend) and the courage to try it. 3 hours all-in and everything looks like it's working. Thanks again everyone who posted.
Mmm; maybe I'd misunderstood and the manual override is only meant to enable you to return the valve to open.
Like I said before, if it's broken I can always replace just the actuator unit.
Thanks all for your posts.
"Off" is really incorrect terminology; what it actually means is that it uses the motor to move the valve between all three positions. I guess it's used because people understand the MOMO term for normal valves.
The FAQ here is likely to be better reading than I can produce and is probably...
Great! So, having cleared that up, can we now get to the original question? :)
Do we think the manual wheel should fully close the valve in both directions when everything's disconnected? Or should I just connect it up and see if it works?!
So are you saying the diagram I've posted (the one that comes in the box!) suggests that it is a drop-in replacement? I did research this before I bought it because I had no intention of making significant wiring changes to the system, and that is the claim they make.
No it won't. The wiring is the same as for a 4073, unless Sunvic are lying. As you see here,
(Apologies for the poor quality, I took a photo with my phone)
it's the same as the one shown in this post
Hi
I need to replace the mid-position valve in my Honeywell Y-plan system. After reading up a bit I saw someone selling Sunvic drop-in replacement MOMO valves (SDMV2304) on ebay for a price close enough to the spring-return and I like the idea of MOMO and the manual dial so I decided to try...
I'm an idiot; of course it goes on the back end of the 13k resistor. I'm not quite sure what I was looking at at the time, I think maybe I was trying to persuade myself that it had come from the obvious point (where it looked like the wire might easily have come from). Or maybe I was just...
Thanks Tony; I'm pretty certain I wired the cylinder stat exactly as the original was done. There's three ports - C (common) 1 and 2; what I found was that both 1 and 2 are live when the stat is in the "on" position - that seems broken, no? It's certainly not what's described here...
