    Leaking radiator valve

Ah, I think I'll get a plumber in. Sounds like too many things that I might mess up. Thanks very much for all your help though everyone! Much appreciated.

    Leaking radiator valve

Sounds promising. Shall I just replace the whole brass thing? And are those links above from Andy correct replacements? Or is it one of those things I need to take in to a plumbers to compare to get the right size? Thanks

    Leaking radiator valve

Ha! yeah way better! For a layman, is that easy? I can google how to drain a rad. Turn off water supply and open up a few valves I'm guessing. The other side looks like this: And then replace just the O ring rather than the whole brass valve? We've had a lot of leaks and flooding lately so...

    Leaking radiator valve

Sorry mate, here's another pic: You don't mean that brown clasp thing do you?

    Leaking radiator valve

That's the thing that turns the heating. Allows hot water though I think. So I need to be able to turn it on and off without it leaking.

    Leaking radiator valve

It seems quite tight. Also the water's coming from the end which seems to be from inside the valve rather than around its sides if you get me?

    Leaking radiator valve

Hi folks, I have a leaking valve on the towel rail radiator. It only leaks when radiator is on. It looks like the water's leaking from inside the valve. Is it as simple as turning of the water supply and putting a new valve in? There's similar on the other side too. Any ideas how I'd...

Fitting dual kitchen taps when existing gap is 20cm

Hi folks, we'd like to change our kitchen taps that are mounted on a steel sink. Annoyingly our existing are 'traditional' looking but with a 20cm gap between tap hole centres. It seems 18cm is more of a standard and although traditional designs sometimes have a flexibility on distance, the...

    Fitting new extractor hood

That's great. I thought as much. Thanks for the tips I'm going to get an electrician. Would an electrician be happy to check and fix the circuit and leave me to mount and connect the fan do you think? Or would he want or have to do the whole thing? Thanks

    Fitting new extractor hood

Hi folks, Our old extractor, fitted by the guys who did our kitchen, broke due to water leak from above. I've now fixed the leak and want to replace the hood but I think it may have been wired wrongly in the first place. The wire coming out of the wall there was wired to the fan. The...

Could someone tell me what this is called?

Hi there, I think it's fixed! The brass item: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Degree-Fem...GZW6425F96F&psc=1&refRID=EFCTDRCT8GZW6425F96F Actually fitted perfectly on to the thread. There was no swivel so I had to take the panel apart a bit to screw it on but then the barb was just right too. Not...

Could someone tell me what this is called?

I've considered it :) Actually only spent £15 so far on 3 bits. But if I break it completely in my attempts to fix it (maybe with a hammer?) I'll have to.

Could someone tell me what this is called?

I'm in London but don't drive so quite limited. I did go into a plumbase and the guy said I would never find one those at any outlet. Kinda said what you guys did at the start. I've got another thing coming from amazon tonight. I think I'm going to take the whole thing off the wall and...
