Boiler noise even when turned off

Hi, I have a Baxi 105e. Not the instant type. As well as the boiler giving intermittent hot water. It makes a noise like it’s filling with water for a few seconds then the tap being turned off quickly. It does this with the electricity turned off. So it can’t be the boiler doing anything. But...

    Boiler sounds and intermittent H/W

Sorry for the late reply, I had to work away from home and thank you for all the help. I have add sentenel x400 to clean the C/H. When the C/H is demanded the plunger comes out and the C/H works fine. But when H/W is demanded without the C/H running both the H/W and C/H plungers come out. Is...

    Boiler sounds and intermittent H/W

Hi, It's a Baxi 105HE It gives hot water straight away. Would the cleaner clean out the heat exchanger or would it need replacing?

    Boiler sounds and intermittent H/W

After reading around a bit. I was planning to drain the system, add fernox cleaner. Run the system for the time it says. Drain and run it a few times to clean out all cleaner. Then add an inhibitor. As well as sorting the flow switch. Am I on the right track?

    Boiler sounds and intermittent H/W

Thanks ChrisR. I'll get the manual out and order a flow switch. Are there any recommended products that are best for cleaning the sludge out of the system? Then inhibitors to stop it happening again.

    Boiler sounds and intermittent H/W

Hi, I have a Baxi 105E, that sounds like it’s running for a few seconds even with no C/H or H/W demand. It does it every 15 minutes or so. It also gives intermittent H/W. It will run for a few minutes, then a minute of cold then back to H/W. Does anyone have any ideas?

Baxi 105 e Turning on by itself & intermittent HW

I have a Baxi 105 e that keeps making a noise, as if it’s running. It seams to run for about 10 seconds then stops every few hours or so. It doesn’t ignite the boiler, but sounds like it’s re-pressurizing or something like that. Also when filling a bath or having a shower, it stops giving H/W...

    C/H Pressure incresing on a Baxi 105e

thanks very much for taking the time to reply. it is much appreciated. No water came out of valve, just air. I bled a radiator near the boiler to get the pressure to zero, but didn't take out 10 ltrs as the instructions say. I will repeat and take 10 ltrs out. Then make sure the vessel is at...

    C/H Pressure incresing on a Baxi 105e

hi, i followed the instructions to test the pressure of the Pessure Vessel. Dropped the pressure to zero and the reading was 5.5 psi. i charged the vessel to 10 psi. refilled to 1.2 and started the C/h up. The pressure increased to 2.5 and rising before i switched off. I tested the pressure...

    C/H Pressure incresing on a Baxi 105e

Hi, Up until a week ago my C/H on my Baxi 105e was stable at 1.3. The boiler hasn’t been touched, but has started to increase the pressure until it vents outside at about 3.2. if I turn the boiler off and switch it on the next day, it takes about ½ hour before venting again. Before I call...
