cheers chip... i feel better now... i really didnt mind paying it if that was what it costs, so ta 4 message, has cheered me up.... :D

friday did 4 hours, sat did 3 hours then came back monday and did 6 hours!

he quoted £250 plus parts, but didnt think the parts would come to that much..... he has since said that he replaced all the pipes for the loo, basin and bath..maybe this bumped the price up... good advice though ..never again... :cry:

Am I entitled to ask to look at receipts of materials purchased for work carried out in bathroom? not had invoice as it was my neighboor that did the work....

:D Thankyou for all your replies, the work has already been done costing £250 labour and £200 materials (150 soil stuff!) as a clueless female am not sure on exactly what was used, but basically, bathroom immediatly above garage, soil pipe moved to corner, a new connection ( flexible thing)...

having my bathroom fitted cost me a hell of alot more than i expected so i am very keen to do the tiling myself!!!! :shock: any tips and advice on how to tile around the bath ( no panel), tile floor and walls would be very much appreciated...

I was charged £450- supposedly £250 labour and 200 parts! does that sound right for parts, he said the soil pipe stuff is expensive ( some next door neighboor eh!)

HOW MUCH WOULD A BASIC BATHROOM FITTING COST? EVERYTHING STILL IN THE SAME PLACE, JUST REPLACING OLD FOR NEW, MOVING A SOIL PIPE TO THE CORNER ( WOULD HAVE A BEND) AND HANGING A TOWEL RAIL ON WALL???
