Hi I have a baxi solo wm 50 / 4 rs boiler last week I noticed it had cut out so I relight it all was fine for about a day then it happened again now it will fire up for about a minute then cuts out along with the pilot any ideas was hoping it would be something fairly easy thanks
sparky coming round tomorrow to have a look at it have noticed the lever on side of new valve is loose and has a lot of travel nearly 3/4 before it picks up the motor
i change the to half of the valve ie the blue bit from the link bellow
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/93941/Plumbing/Central-Heating-Controls/Horstmann-3-Port-Motorised-Valve
not sure what that means mate all i did was take the motor of the new valve a put on the old one and rewired it when i put the hot water or central heating on at the timer the correspoding lights come on on the valve but only the hot water starts the boiler could i have bought a faulty valve
just bought new valve same as old one changed top bit power going to valve still same problem hot water ok no central heating unless use manual overide on valve
I have a baxi solo wm 50/4 boiler the problem that started last night
Was I had hot water but no CH. I Am thinking it is the three way
Valve when on auto with just CH on nothing happens if you turn on the hot water
As well that fires up and heats the water. The only way to the get CH though...
There is power at the boiler when the heating/water is switched on and i have phoned a heating engineer he coming monday just thought i would be armed with some info when he turns up
I have a Baxi Solo Boiler, this morning when i got up the central heating was not working. Though the pilot light stays on, the burner does not ignite. I have had an electrician look at it and he says it is not electrical. Any input would be much appreciated, thanks :
