Silly question - but we're having a few issues with our son who seems to like to shower for around 45 minutes at a time. It's not so much the cost of this that bothers us - it's the condensation he creates in the bathroom and by extension the rest of the house.
Yes we bang on the door to ask...
I've put mine on an Ikea shelving unit in my lounge. I figured my lounge is the room I spend most of the time - aside from the kitchen - and that's the room I want to concentrate on. The only issue is occasionally when the sun shines it heats up the lounge so the heating doesn't click on when...
Sealing inside and out is a disaster - it allows for a head of water to build up which then over time forces it's way out through the weakest point of the seal. I mistakenly did this to a shower enclosure and we had no end of problems with leaks. Never managed to get it resolved and now I'm...
Would removing that bit of silicone on the inside sort it?
I think leaving it in - would allow water to build up on the inside - which will push it out on the hinge. In other words it builds up a head of water and is then forced out at the weakest part of the seal - presumably the hinge.
Sealant...
We did our floor about 10 years ago - we wanted a natural wood colour - not a varnished orange thing. We shopped around for products and literally everyone - said it was impossible and anything you apply to the floor will cause it to lift.
We went ahaead - sanded it down - kept the dust and...
OK - so because the new cold feed would have to go through the garage roof externally and into the wall that the boiler hangs - I'll shelve that idea then!
Cheers folks!
I understand that - sort of - but if the pipe circuit is 15mm throughout the house - also feeding the combi - then surely a seperate feed off the 25mm pipe going directly to the combi will give me more water coming into the house and out of the taps?
Still ******?
I recently had my 15mm copper water mains into the house replaced.
I now have a 25mm pipe going into the 15mm pipe domestic pipe circuit.
The house pipes are all 15mm and the same pipes feed the combi boiler.
Therefore when I have a shower - for example - I'm getting 7.5mm of hot and 7.5mm...
But apart from the ugly and non compliant wiring thanks so much for explaing it to me - I have literally spent hours trying to figure it out. I can now redecorate my hallway!
Hey thanks for your reply.
It was of course like that when I purchased the house.
It is a pretty ugly 'junction box'.
The main house junction box is fine and for the most part the rest of the house is not wired in the same way as that.
I think you're probably right though and I will get someone...
Hello...
I've spent ages looking at this and cannot figure it out.
I have replaced my old boiler timer for a Hive Wireless. The replacement was simple the old timer pulled off and the new one fitted on the old faceplate. I set it all up and it's great!
But my reason for replacing it in the...
