The chimney was repointed before, as you can see from the lighter colour of the mortar, and it looked fine. I will try take some better photos of the roof tomorrow.

It’s actually the dark line. There was a child gate above it before.

Looking for advice on how to fix this worn area on my engineered wood floor (photo attached). The finish is gone in a strip near the edge, likely from foot traffic or moisture. Can I repair just this section without refinishing the whole floor? Any tips on matching the color and finish? Also...

Thanks. I removed the panel and manually unbent it, then further straightened it using a bench vice. The result is very satisfying.

I’m unable to find the replacement part, so I’ll have to flatten this metal frame myself. Could you suggest a good way to do this? I’m worried that using a hammer might create more dents. A hydraulic press might be an option, but I don’t have one (but can consider buying one). Thanks!
