We have the same boiler (ariston aco 32 rffi) and problem (sounds like car back firing, repeatedly) as 'aristonboilerman' ca. 6 wks ago; we have switched it off until repair man gets here, as there is a visible brown burn mark on the outer casing, presumably in the repeated backfiring location...

Did you establish what the problem was with your Ariston? we are having exactly the same problem. Any info. greatly appreciated; Cheers...
