    changing a shower valve?

Hi, We currently have a mira element EV shower which is leaking (ie dripping, but we also have water coming through the back wall, which has worsened since the cartridge has gone) , and we would like to replace it. We are planning on doing an extension and moving the bathroom (get rid of this...

what is up with the paint/walls please

I have checked all the grout and sealant and cannot see any cracks. however the shower screen doesn't seem to have any sealant on it (it is a metal/glass bolted to the wall job, think it is Coram) Should the vertical edge have had sealant applied? There isn't much of a gap, but wondering if...

what is up with the paint/walls please

So it looks like it is damp, but I cannot see any cracks or gaps in grout or sealant. Could it be he used the wrong grout? or tile adhesive? That would allow water to seep through to the other side of the wall? If I remember correctly it was a tubbed tile adhesive. Is it possible to spray or...

what is up with the paint/walls please

Thanks :) The grouting all looks fine-I can't see any cracks or gaps in it at all. Where the shower riser is there is a section about 10-15cm high where the cream grout is slightly discoloured, but it looks sound otherwise. The border is travertine, but it was sealed with 4-5 coats prior to...

what is up with the paint/walls please

when it first started I really did think maybe it was as the walls may have been sealed with PVA (before we bought house) but to clarify-the issue is paint on the walls in the living room, which backs onto the bathroom, not actually in the bathroom Even if it is that though-how do I fix it?

what is up with the paint/walls please

The seal and the grouting all looks really good (around the sink and the bath/shower) the taps have flexi hose and they all seem dry. there isn't any water leaking to the floor that I can see (unit sits on tiles so would think water would show around edges, but could be wrong!)

what is up with the paint/walls please

If I remember correctly the pipes come up from under the floor and sit outside the tiles behind the unit, they aren't buried in the wall. The pipes for the shower come through the wall (understairs cupboard is through the door you can see in living room) and then are fixed through from there to...

Thank you all, am attaching a wider view of the patch, for scale the calendar is 30cm wide. The wall behind the basin unit was fully tiled before the cabinet was fitted, so am not sure if we would see anything behind it. It sits roughly in the middle of lower patch. The shower isn't against...

what is up with the paint/walls please

Thank you. The shower is on the same wall as these patches, but the other side if you know what I mean. The seal on the bath seems ok, but I will try and see if I can take the panel on the bath and look underneath it. When the bathroom was done previously the walls were freshly plastered and...

what is up with the paint/walls please

Can anyone help please? Is it damp? Would a damp-paint/undercoat stop it bubbling? There isn't anything to leak on the other side of the wall, but it is a bathroom with fully tiled walls so could it be condensation coming through the wall?
