Ok. So after knocking the heater thermostat down to 0 each night we still have the same issue. The heating is off. The only way to stop the issue is to cut the power to the system using the switch by the boiler

Yes. Initially we thought the noise was some night maintenance work but once that stopped I started looking for the source.

Thanks. I'll make sure the thermostat is off & see if that makes a difference & I've turned the water temp down.

We notice the noise around 10 pm when we got to bed & it continues for hours. The heating is set for 18 but it's switched off when we got to bed.

It was set to an hour at 6am & 30 mins at 4pm. With switching the power off it's not set & we just do it manually now.

Yes, I've removed the head to show what it is. I've been to a couple of merchants who tell me the 3 cm fitting end isn't compatible with standard shower hoses & that I need to get a plumber to remove the fitting from the pipe & replace it a standard one.
