ok, update time! after checking the internet this morning...it was down, and has gone down at least once since i turning the computer on and started working, also there is still noise on the phone line... whats the next port of call chaps?

righty ho, plugged it in and we'll wait and see...noticed though that only the phone that is plugged into the filter is working now, all the other phones in the house dont get a dial tone...is this expected?

by filter i take it you mean the microfilter used for the broadband? yeah weve got one plugged into it and into the 2 other phone sockets we have in the house.
