Yes it is a domestic. With regards the vents, I was told it would be better vented, but I know I didn't need to be when using a breathable membrane. Just mis advised really. This roof has been the headache of a lifetime. I will be glad when it's completed so I can concentrate on the bits I'm...
Hi back again! Finally got the roof done and tiled.
Looking for some info regarding thickness of roof insulation required to achieve the U value.
I have a low pitched lean to roof on my new extension. I have 200mm rafters so have plenty of room for insulation and air gap. 400mm centres...
Looking for some advice on a suitable cheaper alternative to the ambi-verge from regent. Due to the high profile of the tile I know that the Klober one won't fit. Will the Harcon retro fit dry verge be any good?
Cheers Ian
It says heat loss is just under 7000 btu just 4 the 5.7 x 3.3 extension. with this in mind do I go for a larger radiator or stick to around this size? Sorry for all the questions!
I am currently in the process of building an extension to my house! It's basically across the back of the house, single storey with a vaulted ceiling. Internal dimensions are 3.3 x 5.7 (vaulted ceiling is 2.2 mtr upto 3.0 mtr) basically a lean to. I will be removing the existing patio doors...
Thanks for your response. I didn't get any plans drawn, just did it on a building notice(wish I had now) but that's what happens when you go off other people's comments and believe they not what they are doing!! The roof pitch is 13.5 degrees, span is 3.4, the roof covering will be tiled with...
That was my thought and the thought of my joiner! It can't go anywhere as all 200mm is pushing against a solid wall albeit staggered, the same as the wall plate pushing down on the block work! What can I do? If I owe the BCO off he's just going be an arse for the rest!
Can anyone one, clear up something for me? Had the joiner in to construct the pitch roof. Basically we had to drop the wall plate to one common course and a 30mm bed, due to the low pitch, otherwise the fascia would have been huge! The joined cut all the timber ready. I spoke to the local BCO...
Hi
I am currently trying to find the best solution for my roof. Looking around I have seen many different solutions but I am unsure of what is best. I am building a small extension to the rear of my house. The dilemma is the pitch!! Using an app on my phone and string line I have a pitch of...
