sorted problem with 242 trip was ..tripped...reset trip CH work ok but rads are sligthly cold at bottom..now when i use the hot water the water get extremely hot...and after turning it off the boiler vaillant 242 E pressure goes up to 3bar and the temp sors to 100 degree C ....any advise and...

ok guys after testing central heating, ibleed radiators with air in atic room....the problem seems to happen after using hot water...the hot water get boiling ! and then after turning off the pressure builds and the temp shoot through the roof, if i then turn the central heating on it all starts...

9ok top right was a black boox with trip reset it its all ok ,and all working fine even on hot water pump is flowing possible air lock caused this/?

once they trip are they then replaced because last night i just bypassed it using a amp meter, IM a auto electrician and have fixed my older boliers potterton but this is way more advanced. lol

dont know what any of them did.....whats the normal fire sequence i.e pump then ignite fan etc...and how do i test the over heat trip?

no nothing the boiler is silent np pumps nothing work ch a no go to, once it over heats does it not reset its self?

pressure is 2bar....and when it did happen i noticed the temp gauge was near 90 degrees after i got to the atic

Hi guys, I have a 242e or a 282 e it lists both on the casing which wont supply hot water or heating ,all fuses are ok and the red switch is lite. It stopped working after i turned on the hot water ..after this there was a banging coming from the boiler and now hasnt worked since please...
