any ideas? The background is that i want to keep the temperature of the curved radiator in my bedroom as stable as possible, because it creaks like anything when heating up and cooling down. I'm currently using 3 cph, but actually wondering if 12cph will make it more stable.
Hi
Just had a combi boiler installed (Worcester 34CDi) with a new thermostat (Honeywell CM907).
I have a question about the cycle rates. The default rate is 6 cycles per hour.
Does mean it comes on for ten minutes, then off for ten minutes and so forth?
The other options are 3...
So do these bathroom flow rates seem ok? The plumber suggested removing the non-return valve to improve the flow. But based on the manufacturers handbook, it doesn't appear I can get much more DHW flow.
Well here are my stats:
At garden tap:
Water pressure: 2.5bar
Flow rate: 20L per min
In bathroom:
Thermostatic shower valve (38C): 13.5L per min
Hot bath tap: 13L per min
DHW temp: 48C
Cold water temp: 10C
Boiler Worcester 34CDi
So do the bathroom flow rates appear...
Well i've just bought a water pressure gauge. The water pressure coming out of the shower is disappointing following installation of a combi system, but the hot water coming out of the kitchen tap is ok. Installed a Worcester 34CDi. The plumber told me the cold water pressure was about 3 bar.
Hi
Just had a Laufen Pro dual flush toilet installed yesterday. It has a Twico II flush button (within the button there is another smaller square shaped button). I understand pressing the smaller button is the 3L flush and pressing the larger button around it only, is for the 6L. Currently...
OK, so that exercise finally established it was a light (after 3 years wondering). Looking at the pics, I have the following questions.
1. Is that thing a light sensor?
2. Why would anyone want a light that comes on whenever it is dark. Burning a light all night seems a waste of energy...
well just plopped the new bulb in and it turned on immediately (in broad daylight). so not promising, looks as if the sensor is broken and the light will be on 24hrs a day. what's worse, the cable disappears into the wall, and the life of me, cannot find any switch in the house which might turn...
I used a needle nose plier and got the screws out. Ordered a new bulb. Still not sure how the whole thing works. There is this thing that appears to be a sensor facing the light (it faces up to the sky), as opposed to facing a moving person. So that would suggest the light comes on whenever...
Well I tried one of these

but unfortunately too big. I thought it would fit, but about 1-2mm too big! It was struggle to find that one, let alone one smaller.
Hello
I have these unusual triangle headed bolts on an outside security light. Does anyone know what they are called and what can I buy to undo it? As I need to change the bulb inside.
The light was there when I moved in, and there is no brand name on it.
thanks
