    Ah thanks Ian. So I've held the screwdriver against the pump and listened. There's no sound or movement at all. The pump is hot to touch.

    Thanks for the help. Got the pressure up to 1.5 and turned it back on, but the CH pump light is still on.

    Woke up this morning to find the heating had been on, but had gone off and no hot water. Checked the boiler Nd found that it had overheated and waited for it to cool down and pressed reset button. Now have hot water as usual, but no central heating. CH pump light is on. Boiler won't fire...
