just nearly completed a hell of a job 140sqm of indian sandstone , when it rains there is a puddle which i am hoping i can just lift some slabs up and rebed them a bit higher rather than chopping 5 inches of mortar out

i had a feeling it was an air lock somewhere as the downpipes had a dripping hiss sound, which i guess cannot be made unless their is a gap i.e air somewhere in the pipe.

well took the rad off and blasted it through opened both the trv and lockshield fully into a bucket put it back on refilled system and removed air locks low and behold the rad is hot now :roll: no sludge came out the water was clear i just dont get it !

so where does the water off the roof go ?

tried that no chemical cleaning whole system is only 2 years old. clear water came out sentinel x100 was used

exactly it`s your home and you will take the time an care to do it unfortunatly we live in a society with no morals or self pride in work. i find they just want your money and quickly to hell with everything else. correct do as much as you can yourself, i just fitted the cloakroom at home...

yes depending on the nature of the work ie extensive i do think it should be inspected, only way to gauge quality no offence but my granny with bad eye sight may think the work completed was to a high standard when in actual fact it was crap. so i would not go by a personal recommendation...

problem being with live in a country who has no idea who to fix the problem of crap trades . simple to fix make all of them pay £1000 each to take a course and an exam in whatever they are skilled in once they pass their photo is taken and added to a government website where you can find...

checkatrade has no gurantee of quality sadly it is just an advertising board. never use a full bathroom fit company, split the trades up and manage it yourself.

well the garage has a slight leak also , so i guess the best way is to overlay the lot then. know any decent roofers lol
