    Vaillant Turbomax 828E won't repressurize

We had a plumber fit an external filling loop (in retrospect I could have done that myself but he was good value anyway). It works but I may never know where the blockage is.

I know both valves are good.

    Vaillant Turbomax 828E won't repressurize

This is just curiosity now as I'm sure it's not something I can fix but what could be stopping the system taking in water when the entire filling loop including both valves are known to be good?

The filling loop is integrated in the boiler. I have just tried opening the valves either side. However, the end of the loop was only hand tight and I loosened it slightly and water dribbled out so I know that it is getting that far. The HW issues are hot/cold/hot/cold and F24 faults.

Vaillant Turbomax Plus 828E removing plate heat exchanger

Vaillant Turbomax Plus 828E removing plate heat exchanger

I should have read the manual first :) Having done that, I'm wondering if removing the diverter valve and pump is really necessary. Is that just to allow better access? Also, I'm seeing conflicting posts about whether the washer and o rings are standard or special. Where can I get them...

Vaillant Turbomax Plus 828E removing plate heat exchanger

Hi After reading various forum posts, it seems likely that my plate heat exchanger is blocked and needs cleaning. I couldn't find any instructions to remove it, is it just a case of pulling the 3 wire clips and undoing the (awkward) nut? Also, is this legal for a DIYer? Thanks in advance...
