    HELP NEEDED - WALL LIGHTS

Ban All Sheds - Or should I call you Mr V. Meldrew. I did not ask YOU personally to offer any advice (if you call it that), so why carry on in such an insulting, sarcastic, self righteous manner. One of the functions of this forum is for users to gain access to others who may be more...

    HELP NEEDED - WALL LIGHTS

When first installing the new lamps, my first reaction for lamp A was to simply replicate the setup on lamp C. This did not work however. Lamp A worked but B did not. I have a friend that is an electrician. He's on holiday at the moment but I'll ask him to take a look when he gets back...

Sorry but I've double checked it and checked it again. The diagram is right. I'll have to wait and see if one of my friends who is an electrician to take a look at them. Thanks though.

    HELP NEEDED - WALL LIGHTS

The switch setup diagram is not wrong. 100% correct. Its a simple thing to draw. Let me say, the switch setup has remained the same since I moved into the house. I've not replaced it, tampered with it or anything. I have simply changed 2 of the wall lamps (A and B). So surly its not the...

    HELP NEEDED - WALL LIGHTS

Sorry guys, but if there is one thing I'm not good at its electrics. How would I find out what is required? Do I need to identify whether one fuse operates these four lights in my living room. Would it also be helpful if I mentioned that these four wall lights are the only lights in that...

    HELP NEEDED - WALL LIGHTS

Hi Andrew, I've tried using the same setup in lamp A as lamp C (which I think is what you are suggesting. All that happens when I try this is that lamp B does not work at all.

    HELP NEEDED - WALL LIGHTS

Also, just in case this throws more light on the problem (no pun intended) I've tried lamp A with the two black wires the other way round. The result was that lamp B was dim and A bright. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ They are just fed from the mains ( if thats what you mean :S )...

    HELP NEEDED - WALL LIGHTS

Thanks Breezer. I don;t actually know the answers to your questions. How would I find this out? They were working fine before I fitted new lamps so I think I've just got the wires the wrong way around.

    HELP NEEDED - WALL LIGHTS

HELP PLEASE! I've been replacing the old wall lights in my living room with some new ones. Firstly, I've done a bit of a schoolboy error by not drawing the old wiring setup when taking off the old lights. Admittedly I'm not very experienced with electrics so should have done so...

HELP Mounted Plasma TV - How do I hide these horrible wires?

HELP WANTED: I've mounted a 37" television just above my fireplace. Firstly, let me say that I've checked for rising heat etc... and the TV is not at risk. The TV looks great where it is and the dynamic of the room has totally changed because of it. What is really annoying though is the...
