    Blocked Toilet

Is it one of those covers which is screwed down into the frame beneath? Look at the holes either side of the handles an see if there are large slotted screws in there.

    Skirting boards - question

I've just finished two oak floors in an old house where the customer was adamant they didn't want the original skirting removed. I undercut the entire skirting and architraves/door lining using a Dewalt plunge saw laid on its side. I used a Fein multi tool to get into the corners and behind the...

    first fix plumbing for kitchen

Just extend cold feed across and bend hot feed down until at the same height (hot on left and cold on right). Bend pipe or use elbows to bring pipework into base unit and fit isolating valves. Carry on when kitchen is fitted.

    Paramount partition plasterboard damaged

That's how I deal with paramount walls if needed. Remove all cardboard and build a new frame in between before boarding over. You'll be able to get the new wall bang on flat and plumb too. I use low expansion expanding foam to bond the back of the studwork to the remaining plasterboard. Studwork...

Covering the gap between the bathtub and

What thickness tiles do you have? I think your best bet would be to skew the bath so that you even the gap out along the short side and the long side. It sounds like you'll probably end up with the gaps being slightly wider than your tiles will cover, so if this is the case I'd carefully and...

    Grouting around sockets

Ok, I didn't realise the cutouts were in the middle of a larger tile. Leave them alone then.
