I’m in Watford.
I don’t mind running a dedicated supply if the costs are reasonable which is what my main query is about.
Affinity Water say they have done everything they need to do by running a supply to the neighbouring property which then runs to me.
My point to them is that I don’t have...
The builder replaced the damaged section and phoned the water supplier when the incident happened - I get the feeling he has acted properly and has offered to help when Affinity come to survey.
There was some grit etc in the pipe work but I’ve attempted to clear it with help of a plumber...
Thanks for the reply.
I did check with the insurer and they said there’s no damage, so no claim to be made - I argued the pipe isn’t working as it should but they said it wasn’t covered.
The neighbour damaging the pipe may be something to investigate but it would need to be proven - I don’t...
Hopefully this is the right section for advice.
I have a shared mains water supply starting two doors along and have low / no water pressure at my property since an extension was completed at my neighbour’s property.
The builder said they found a damaged pipe which got worse as they excavated...
Hi and thanks for replying.
The boiler is in a tenanted property so it's difficult to leave it off for long.
I pressurised to 2.0 this afternoon, switched-off the boiler and there was no movement for about 5 hours - if that isn't conclusive I'll try again another day when I can leave it longer.
I have a constantly dropping pressure dial on my boiler (Potterton Performa 24 Eco HE) and I cannot find the source of the leak.
It had a slow leak for quite a long time but now it drops from 1.5 to 0 in 2-3 days.
I had the PRV changed but that hasn't fixed the issue.
There's never been any...
Thank you.
An issue I have is that I rent the room out and can't rely on the tenant to use the fan. I need something that doesn't rely on them to do anything.
Is my suggestion of adding an air brick or creating an opening going to work? I appreciate its more intrusive than using a fan but...
Thanks for the advice but I'm unsure on the cause now as I thought the notion of poor circulation had been rubbished.
Is a vented grille likely to fix the issue?
I have a pipe making a loud rattling noise when I use a cold water tap off mains - it started yesterday and had never done it before.
The pipes are not accessible until they reach the loft.
Any idea of the cause? How can I fix it?
Oh - I thought he was taking the pee! Never heard f it and it sounded like sky hooks r a glass hammer. Sorry Joe!
How does it work? Just adhere to the wall and paint over? Does it require maintenance / replacement?
