Hi Andrew.... were back on ! :D
I managed to catch a neighbor who knows his electrics.
He tested all the supply firstly, then went inside the boiler and took out two clear fuse's on a circuit board.. replaced them.. and hey presto hot water and warm house... whether its going last might...
whenever its gone off in the past its just been a case of re igniting the flame but this has no lights on the controle panel at all...well seems i might just have to call the heatline engineers out and freeze for a couple of days whilst waiting...thanks for all the help though guys :)
ahh well that was one thing i did guess ! ... the element on the oven recently went and i learnt from that, that if the fuse blew it was a fault with the oven...not had much luck recently and the bloomin house is only 4yrs old argghhhh
no we dont have the garage consumer... theres just one box which holds the switchs for the whole house...all the other sockets in the garage are working fine
ok i will look into that tommoro then...so you would say its something to do with the power supply rather than a fault with the boiler :?:
The boiler has a 2nd yr gaurantee still left on it but it takes ages to book someone to vist, and then if its not a fault with the boiler they can...
Im greatfull for your help but just to clarify... i need to check the fsu with a multi meter... what is the fsu  and do these meters cost alot  sorry...i am naturally blonde !!
Im sure the other half has already checked the trip switch but will ask when he's back...this may not make any difference but the boiler is situated in the garage and all other electrics are fine :?:
wow quick reply !....hmmm.... my husband is just out at the minute..not that he really knows what he's doing ethier, but im not quite sure of where you meen
