BOILER no power lights on ??

yeah without the red light though...tried a pink and brown amp but neither worked

haha it was the hubby that said pink...we have this argument that hes colour blind so this just proves it...so how do i check the fsu please :?:

Im greatfull for your help but just to clarify... i need to check the fsu with a multi meter... what is the fsu  and do these meters cost alot  sorry...i am naturally blonde !!

just mentione the garage consumer box to the hubby and even he said ''whats that'' !

the fsu is the switch in the picture seco posted, for a lower end multimeter, prob about £8 out of B&Q

Garage CU is a smaller 'fuse box' in the garage, similar to the main one you've already checked, but smaller :)

Edit: didn't make sense

FSU fused spur unit. what you checked the fuse in.
can get a basic one under a tenner.

you say boilers in garage do you have any other wall sockets in the garage ? and do they all work ?

garage consumer.

ok i will look into that tommoro then...so you would say its something to do with the power supply rather than a fault with the boiler :?:

The boiler has a 2nd yr gaurantee still left on it but it takes ages to book someone to vist, and then if its not a fault with the boiler they can charge me for the call

Well the power supply is probably the best place to check first, so that we can eliminate it if its ok, could still be a fault with the boiler though, maybe an internal fuse etc.........

poss not power to FSU.
but if it's the fuse thats blown i would then say a boiler fault has caused it
to blow.

no we dont have the garage consumer... theres just one box which holds the switchs for the whole house...all the other sockets in the garage are working fine

ahh well that was one thing i did guess ! ... the element on the oven recently went and i learnt from that, that if the fuse blew it was a fault with the oven...not had much luck recently and the bloomin house is only 4yrs old argghhhh

whenever its gone off in the past its just been a case of re igniting the flame but this has no lights on the controle panel at all...well seems i might just have to call the heatline engineers out and freeze for a couple of days whilst waiting...thanks for all the help though guys :)
