I tried adjusting the cam roller but it was already on the max height - eventually had to adjust the main hinges - took the door up a few mm in height and locks perfectly now with no force.

does anybody know if the window pane will have to removed to fit this type of e seal in its groove or can it be push fit from the outside. hoping its the later as the window unit is massive.

Hi all, we have a upvc front door that is hard to lock. when the handle is turned up to engage to hooks and bolts it takes a few goes and a bit of force before I can then turn the key in the lock. when the door is open and the handle is turned up all works ok and door key will tun no problem...

yes it is, they are both varnished with the same PU varnish but the only difference is the age

the left door is about 15 years old - right is new as you can probably tell lol right door has 1 coat of oil based pu satin - same pu as other

Hi all , we have replaced a oak door on the landing and I have put 1 coat of varnish on but its no where near the colour of other doors which are a nice orange shade. Can I use coloured varnish to bring the colour to the others

Hi, I have a new oak veneer door which I have varnished but its turned out no where near the colour of the other older oak doors which are more of a golden/orange colour. Can I apply couple of coats of a coloured varnish or stain to get it near and then varnish over this.

I have made a fire surround out of pine sleepers and after 4 coats the wax I have used (fiddes rugger brown) really doesn't go with my other furniture which is a shame as its came up lovely?. I have decided to strip it all off and apply a red/brown stain first then wax as with the wax on...

Paint, that explains it I thought it was for any finish.

thats one thing I never understood about knotting solution, how are you supposed to get an even finish if you just put it on the knots ???
