when the switch for lower stairs 1 gang is on and the switch on lower hall is turned on I get a flickering and yes they are energy bulbs

Just to let you know it was a stuck Mid position valve. The valve and motor head were changed. The sticking was caused by 8 dead mice in the central heating header tank. Been there a while so the water in system was a little dirty to say the least.

Fuse ok, mains tested leaving FCU to top of light I get 100v on the live to earth and 100v on the neutral to earth. Same coming out of the remote control device to the light connections. But no where else. Noticed it is not earthed! Can I bypass the remote unit? Unit is a 105cm GFI-42-4L
