Hi guys

I have a downstairs toilet, it has a pull switch cord switch, there is an extractor fan which is 20 years old so disconnected the live some months ago.
None in household has reported when the light stoopped working. I have used a multimeter to measure between live and earth etc but only getting 1V or mV.
The ceiling rose live was measured also no 230V.
The MCBs are all on other light circuits upstairs and down are all live

Im puzzled!!

check the connections on the last working light on the circuit, if you dont know which that is then check them all. makes sure nothing has been overtightened and that tha wire hasn't snapped, with the electric off give each wire a little tug to make sure it is secure in the terminal and a little tweek with a screwdriver if this doesn't solve anything then start looking for a JB.

Many thanks

back tracked from a replacement wall switch fitted last week, poorly done it had 3 red wires.

swapped around and now all is well

Many thanks again
