    Diamond blade for circular saw

Thank you, that is helpful. I thought as much given the lack of blades of a suitable size, just thought I might be able to get away with using what I had and just buying a new bladed for it. I will try and borrow an angle grinder instead.

    Diamond blade for circular saw

Hi all, I've got a 184mm circular saw (this model: http://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-d23620-gb-1150w-184mm-circular-saw-240v/58155) I need to buy a diamond blade for cutting paving slabs, but I don't seem to be able to find one that fits. Are there any 184mm diamond discs out there, or is...

Garden shed Weird shape plot. Pic.

What about sticking to a rectangular shape but move the whole thing 2 feet to the right (or 2 feet forward), leaving a path down to useful space for e.g. water butt, bike shed, etc..

    Drainage for downstairs bathroom

I think you might have a problem with your new proposed solution in that the new WC is now discharging into the branch channel of the manhole at 90 degrees, and you are relying on just your kitchen waste running along the main channel to wash all that WC waste away. I'm no expert but that seems...

Using tile vents for high level ventilation

Hi colind86, BCO says yes they are, unfortunately. If they are installed three courses down this wouldn't disrupt the ridge, right? I can check whether that is acceptable, but I think it's too low, according to what I've read. How much of a pain is it to disrupt the ridge?

Using tile vents for high level ventilation

Hello, I have been insulating my attic room at roof level (gabled roof, semi detached house), celotex between rafters + 50mm air gap above. I have installed soffit vents at the eaves, I now just need to install the high level ventilation. Because there is a void above the ceiling in the...

Shed design - advice on rafters

I don't have the space for this, it would push the overall height over 2.5m or reduce the internal height by 2 inches which is already at the limit of what I can manage

Shed design - advice on rafters

OK so what is the normal way of ensuring air flow above insulation if using a ridge beam? Also, would it need to be bigger than 2x4, would 2x6 be sufficient in this case?

Shed design - advice on rafters

OK but I have seen various designs around which do not have either, for example the first picture here: http://www.shedking.net/How_to_build_a_shed_roof.html How do you calculate whether or not extra support is required?

Shed design - advice on rafters

I am currently designing a combined garden office / storage shed. Due to the location within 1m of a boundary, I'm limited to 2.5m total height, as well as max 15m^2 area. I'd like to get as close to these limits as possible. I have put some initial designs together using Sketchup...
