    Nice one Sleepyhead, yes I found a small brown like cap on top of the heater, I pressed it and hey presto we have heat, and because I gave the condenser chamber a good clean out, the clothes now seem to be drying fine. Respect to this forum!! Regards Jim

    Yeah I had a good luck, but no sign of any stray 2 wires, maybe somebody disconnected them and forgot to put them back, it might help if I knew where they should be connected to on the circuit board? Anyway as long as the machine works ok without them!!!!

    I can't seem to find it now, but I'm sure I read there somewhere on here that there is a safety switch or cut out switch for the condenser on the Hoover machine, can any one confirm this?

    Thanks for that Sleepyhead, It does rotate a few times in one direction then reverse, but when you take out the clothes, they come out hot, steaming and not completely dry, this must because of the steam, just to add, I am only using this machine in the shed as a dryer and not as a washer!
