The 1st pic is of the original controller wiring and back plate. The thermostat was a Honeywell (I think!) I've added a pic of the wiring behind the thermostat prior to installing Hive Thanks by the way!

Nope just removed the old thermostat, capped and tucked the wiring back in to the recess and fitted the Hive thermostat on to the original back plate. Just 1 x Hive installed.

Thanks- no just disconnected and replaced with the Hive stat. Is there a simple means of doing that or is it a call out job?
