Its because the waste pipe is running too close to the where the soil meets the cast iron connection. I just miss the port on the side of it without it being too out.

do you have to use an electric fan in the uk in a new room within a room that has a shower, WC and a basin or can you just use a vent with ducting or one of the non electric ones? Is it required by building regs? Many thanks in advance.
