I’ve noticed a large damp area on our front doorstep. The doorstep is within a dry warm porch. I’ve included photos for reference.
I’m wondering where this is coming from, i suspect the outside storm drain may have become overwhelmed with the current heavy rain fall making the ground saturated...
My alarm system is a Texecom Premier Elite. This year I intend to replace the batteries in the wireless PIR’s, main panel battery and the wired bell box.
Will the tamper be put on hold/pause while I swap out the main control panel battery and wireless PIR batteries if I enter the engineer code...
Unfortunately i dont have access to that part of the ceiling. Its just above the ensuite which is tiled. its above the sink in the ensuite witch led me to think it was a leak, but i would have expected a consistent patch and not a circle. Its been cold enough to have condensation so it could be...
I had an extension built 12 years ago and just recently (during sub zero temperatures) I've noted a strange round circle in the plasterboard ceiling in the garage. It's never been painted so is it from adhesive or something else. At first I thought it was a water leak but I'm not sure due to the...
Do I have to release the Connect App from the installer cloud to continue to maintain the system? It works just fine. All I want to do is change the batteries to keep the alarm system going. The app version is 1.0.12.7, The smartcom version is 03.3.00
How would I go about obtaining the UDL password if one has been set?
If i cant get hold of the UDL password then i’m thinking, Is there any need for me to use Wintex? Can i do everything through the panel? I’m happy with the system and I dont intend making any changes. The only thing i will need...
I had a Texecom Professionally installed some time ago. The company went bust. Fortunately, I have the engineer code. However, would this allow me to gain access to Wintex and the settings or would Wintex have a separate user ID and password?
The jamming happened before the battery change. Received 4-5 notifications. Now receiving double that amount. They tend to happen either early hours of the morning or late morning all within an hour. I’ve read that this frequency has a range of up to 800 meters which would be a whole street.
It...
I’ve noted that i’m getting an increase in RF jamming notifications. I undesrand this can happen if a device is operating on the same frequency as Texecom wireless devices such as wireless thermostats etc. The batteries were replaced recently in both wireless pid’s so I assume the batteries are...
At some point the join has been leaking and green corrosion has formed, see picture. Its no longer leaking but whats the best form of action, just leave it or clean it up. If i clean it then what with? I add inhibitor to the heating system each year which hopefully will prevent further corrosion.
