Get the guy that fitted the gas valve back if it's only been a week? He may have not set the gas pressures on the new gas valve properly. Could be summit else mind you.

Well what a job I had sorting this one. IT WAS indeed the DHW flow switch faulty but what a hassle getting a simple wee part, first the ariston technical guys gives me the wrong part number so in comes a DHW flow gauge, totally not what I wanted, then after another call and a further part...

Would the choking off kit no work? Not familiar with the Gledhill Gulfstream thou.

To save faffing about go buy yoursel a 15mm kuterlite stopend, shut off the hot water, open tap to make sure its off, with a shifter and a pair o gordons undo the 15mm nut at the WM valve and put the stopend on and tighten:) Turn on water again and test for leaks.

On your other point the pressure should stay in the system, if it drops you have a leak somewhere!

Only one of the valves open (to let the main pressure into the system), the other "screw" on the non return will have no effect, its simply a test screw point and does not control the water going into the system.

Some filling loops are screw type where you need a screwdriver to open it, or it could be your handle has snapped of by previous tenants. You'd need a pair o pliers to open it if thats the case!

The filling loop will be outwith the boiler, these don't have a built in loop. Looks like this Try under the units or in the pipebox (if there is one) I SHOULD be reasonably close to the boiler. If you can't find it contact your landlord who an responsible for repairs to their...
