Thats what I see being an issue - however it will put people in a situation where they cannot complete DIY work, especially if the LABC are pushing people down that route.

BS7671 in this specific instance, but as you say, there is a lot of inter relation between the standards that cause confusion, and are all open to a level of interpretation which unfortunately not everyone sees the same way, which leads to both confusion and in some cases misinformation.

They seem to think they can upgrade to 80a without any cable upgrades, but the drive is coming up soon, so I may opt to have the service cable upgraded at the same time. However this may be more difficult as they were unsure if I am on a shared supply, so I'm waiting for them to do survey and quote.
