i don't think i've ever smelt a cricket bat but sounds alot nicer that the smell i have. will have to look at using linseed oil in the future.

I recently oiled my decking using Ronseal Decking oil. I did 2 coats but left just under the recommended time between coats (5hrs 30 instead of 6hrs) as i need to head out. That was almost a week ago and while the oil looks good has dried well it still smells quite strongly.

I have a stone resin show tray that needs resealed. I was planning on using Dow 785 silicone. Does anyone know if it is ok to use acetoxy silicone with stone resin trays. Manufactuers website has no information about this.

I have a loft ladder that was installed a while back and the hinges have now worn so that the hatch does not close. I have an issue in that i did not fit the ladder and don't know what make it is to try to replace the hinges. the only clue i have is the safety notice. I know its a long shot...
