A new bath would be the cheapest option :roll:
I've never drilled cast iron and wouldn't like to attempt it, the enamel wouldn't like it either methinks
I've thought about moving the bath out from the wall so I could use a wall mounted option but that causes complications as well.

I am confident that I can replace the worn globe taps and fit a a backflow prevention device to comply with the regs before the bath is re-enamaled
