Vokera Syntesi Boiler. Keeps shutting down, error code 08

We've turned down the temperature of the central heating and it hasn't happened since. Are we safe leaving it at that (assuming it doesn't start failing again) or is it unsafe to assume all is well? Thanks for the answers so far...

Vokera Syntesi Boiler. Keeps shutting down, error code 08

Resetting the boiler always fixes the problem but it is happening more and more frequently. The manual does not describe the nature of error code 08 so I am looking for advice on how best to go about remedying the problem. Thanks

Why is putting up a curtain pole so HARD ! HELP...

Don't know if anyone is still going to see this but I'd love to know if this problem was solved as I'm totally stumped by the same thing now! I've bought a hammer drill (B&Q own brand 710W with unnecessary laser device) but it's really not done the job! Do I need some industrial drill? Or...

Washing machine fills up with water between washes

Thanks very much. Now all I have to do is try and get to it (all hidden away in a built-in kitchen sort of way...)

Washing machine fills up with water between washes

Have just moved into a flat where the washing machine (De Dietrich, LZ9616, for what it's worth) always seems to fill a third or halfway with water between uses. It seems that the water comes from the kitchen sink (as we've been washing paintbrushes and then getting painty water appearing in...

    Making Skirting Stick...?

Having trouble getting my skirting to stick. Because: 1. I've been told I shouldn't use nails, to avoid messing up damp course. 2. Walls aren't totally flat so difficult to get contact throughout entire length for glue to set. 3. Don't always have a large contact area to stick to due to...

    FLOOD!!

Thanks for the thoughts. I need to speak to the other people in the building to see where the problem comes from. I think the drains on the road have got blocked and overflowed in the past. At the front there is good drainage but no drainage from the patio as far as I can see. It's just a...

    FLOOD!!

The flat I've moved into is prone to flooding. It tends to be at the rear where we have a sunken patio area. Opening to this area we have double kitchen french doors and a door to the bedroom. Any bright ideas for flood-proofing? Thought about sticking in a dam with MDF (or something) at the...

    Look under my skirt(ing)

Polycell seem to do a product called 'SmoothOver Cracked & Damaged Walls' Any ideas if this is a) any good? and b) actually anything much different to a normal filler? There's also supposed to be one especially for covering stuff like woodchip and artex but, again, I wonder if it's...

    Look under my skirt(ing)

Many thanks to both of you... I'm glad I couldn't find the bonding we were about to wadge in there. It does seem to have dried off a bit in the couple of days since the skirting came off so fingers-crossed we're OK. Can I try my luck with a follow-up question for the same room? The...

    Look under my skirt(ing)

Sorry for that. I've just taken away the skirting in the bedroom of my new flat, planning to put some new skirting up. However, underneath, the plaster doesn't go right down to the floor, leaving a recess beneath the coving, then the exterior wall. It seems a bit damp down there too - it's...
