Ah I can see where I've gone wrong with the PA. The alarm conductor should be connected to the bottom of the glass red switch terminal and not the top.

Thanks Sparkymarka, I can see it now! You're right I should've gone with resistors built in, hindsight and all that. Attached a pic with the correct wiring. Whilst I've got you here, would you be able to look at the panic alarm I've attached and see if that's correct? Without you knowing...
