What exactly are backerboards and where can i get them. Will the likes of B&Q sell them? Its all new to me.

The ply i used is 10mm thick and the tiles are normal ceramic tiles with glossy front.

I have made a box for my bath to sit in out of ply wood. Will i be able to tile straingt onto this or will i need to use a membrane of some kind too?

Hey i never said the back street fitter would be incompetent. They would have been a qualified plumber doing a govy job to earn some extra cash. If i wanted an incompetent fitter i would do it myself! :lol:
