    Crabtree RCCB Question

My supplier is Octopus so I've sent them a request to fit an isolator switch on the meter tails as I have no way to isolate my main switch... I'm under the impression this is needed for the Henley block method as there's no way to isolate those tails and I'm not sure any electrician will be...

    Crabtree RCCB Question

Thanks - this is what confused me. What I wanted to know was if there is a possibility to add a non RCD protected MCB to the unit (i.e. between the Main Switch and the 3-module RCCB in my CU), for a circuit to provide some power to an outbuilding with it's own small CU.... Maybe my only option...

    Crabtree RCCB Question

Thanks - If it's safe it's not a big problem for us; my wife doesn't like having an unsightly blanking plate about 2/3 of the way up the wall in the middle of the hallway landing :ROFLMAO: If I have the switch removed from the CU, can the cable be left in situ and the blanking plate covered up...

Consumer Unit Question - Electric Shower

At some point before we bought the house, the previous owners had the bathroom renovated and I assume they replaced an electric shower with a boiler-fed shower; I have a couple of questions: 1. In the hallway on the wall outside the bathroom there is a 1-gang blanking plate covering some...

    Re-Fitting my en-suite

Fitted the flooring, plumbed in the sink and toilet.... Had a slight problem with the toilet, after fitting I noticed a puddle of water forming from under the toilet after it had been flushed.... Checked all plumbing and then re-tested, leak still present... Had a closer inspection and...
